Alcetas Tomb Termessus
Alcetas, one of Alexander's generals in the Indian campaign, tried to carve out a realm of his own after Alexander's death. In 319 BC, he was defeated by Antigonus Monopthalmus. He withdrew to Termessos, where he committed suicide. His monumental rock-cut grave with rich relief decoration standing witness to this one-time companion of the great king is a memorable station on Peter Sommer Travels Alexander tour.
