Rock cut tombs at Kaunos in Turkey

Cut high into a sheer rock face beside the Dalyan river, the temple tombs at Kaunos were hewn by ancient Greek stonemasons some 2,300 years ago. Situated on the south coast of Turkey, just a few miles from the Mediterranean Sea, Kaunos is an incredibly impressive archaeological site, where excavations are still ongoing after 40 plus years.
