Alexander the Great › The triple harboured town of Phaselis

Alexander the Great spent the winter of 334/333BC in the ancient triple harboured city of Phaselis, on Turkey's Lycian coast. Its seafaring merchants had a terrible reputation for dishonesty and skulduggery. This ancient city, is now a specially protected archaeological site swathed in pine trees.
