Peter (as in Peter Sommer Travels) was born in Toronto and his mother lived in Canada for some 14 years back in the 50's and 60's, so although we are based in the UK we have a very soft spot for Canada and Canadians.

We were lucky enough to host one of the finest travel writers in Canada on one of our gulet cruises in Turkey. Barbara Ramsay Orr, who happens to be the Vice President of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), joined our Gastronomic Gulet Cruise and has written two wonderful travel articles about it for leading publications in Canada.
