Julian Richards

Julian is an archaeologist, author and broadcaster who specialises in the prehistoric landscapes of southern Britain and has a particular fascination with Stonehenge.  He is the author of a number of books including the current English Heritage guidebook to Stonehenge as well as three other books on this remarkable monument. Julian has taught groups and individuals of all ages and abilities for over 40 years and is an accredited lecturer for the Arts Society.

Julian devised, researched and presented the BBC TV series ‘Meet the Ancestors’ and ‘Blood of the Vikings’ as well as presenting a number of series for Radio 4 including the long-running ‘Mapping the Town’. Peter filmed with Julian at Stonehenge over 20 years ago and we are delighted that he is now leading tours for us.
