Escorted Cultural Tours in Europe & Asia
At Peter Sommer Travels, we specialise in small group expert-led archaeological and cultural tours (max 10-18 people) in six different countries in Europe and Asia: Croatia, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Turkey and the UK.
Types of Escorted Tours
Our escorted cultural tours comprise of land-based trips as well as gulet cruises in different parts of the Mediterranean aboard traditional Turkish gulets. Below is our current schedule of escorted tours and gulet cruises. Many of our cultural adventures book up many months in advance, so we recommend booking your places early!
A long established tour operator (Peter led his first historical Turkey tour in 1996), we have assembled a team of leading experts and specialists to lead our cultural holidays and archaeological tours. We offer a wide range of escorted tours in Europe and Asia typically from the spring through the autumn: from adventure family holidays to gastronomic tours and walking vacations.
In addition to our scheduled trips (below), we also design bespoke private tours on land as well as gulet charters. Yes, we do for our trips in Greece and Italy. In these two countries, if you’d like to extend your tour, we offer optional add-ons that allow you to explore more or unwind at your own pace before heading home. Take a look at our Extend Your Stay trips.

What’s Included?
Accommodation, transfers on the first and last days of a tour, the services of one or two expert tour leaders throughout the entire trip, all or most meals including water, tea and coffee and wine with dinner, all planned incursions (by private minibus where necessary) all entrance fees, all tips to restaurant and hotel staff, hotel taxes.What’s Not Included?
