Statue of Artemis Ephesus Museum
The temple of Artemis at Ephesus was one of the most celebrated buildings of all times, listed as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Although the famed statue of the goddess it protected was destroyed in Late Antiquity, several copies of it survive and are on display in Seljuk Museum, giving an impression of this mysterious representation of ancient beliefs in a benign goddess of nature and fecundity.
