Gold again! AITO Tour Operator of the Year Award 2022

We have some happy news, and we have some thanks to say.

Just over two weeks ago, Peter Sommer Travels received AITO's (The Specialist Travel Association) Tour Operator of the Year Gold Award for 2022. It's our third gold, after 2015 (when the awards were introduced) and 2017. For 2016, 2018 and 2019, we won Silver. No awards were granted for 2020 and 2021, so you can do the maths: we've been in the top two every time! We are enormously pleased to gain this honour after the difficult years of travel restrictions.

What makes us so proud of this accolade is the process that brings it about. The Awards are fully based on verified independent travel reviews by actual travellers.

So, it's time to say thank you. First of all, we thank our guests for the good things they have said about us, about our trips and about our staff, but also just for travelling with us. Next, we thank the aforementioned staff: our tour experts, tour designers and tour leaders, who've made this possible, and also those working in the office and staying in touch with our guests, looking after their interests and needs. Likewise, we thank our local partners who help us offer superb tours in the countries we cover, and also the countless local service providers, from boat crews via coach drivers to restaurant personnel and so many others who make each day on a Peter Sommer Travels cruise or land tour unforgettable. Thank you all!

What can we say to conclude this post? First of all, that we will not rest on our laurels but strive to offer ever better travel experiences. Next, that we would love you to join us!
