Seçkin Demirok
Seçkin’s grandfather worked at the very first 5-star hotel in Turkey, the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus, and this inspired him to pursue a career in travel and tourism. He earned his Turkish guiding certificate in 2010 and then went on to achieve a degree in history at Anadolu University and an MA on Turkish archaeology and ancient history from Boğaziçi University, the leading University in Turkey.
As well as travelling throughout his beloved homeland, Seçkin enjoys exploring abroad and has made various journeys through Europe, including the countries of Austria, France, the Czech Republic, Spain, Holland, Serbia, Monaco and Italy. Alongside his enthusiasm for history, about which he writes regularly for various publications, Seçkin is especially passionate about music, frequently drumming and producing music videos. He also does volunteering work for Tarih Vakfı (the History Foundation) in Turkey and Müzik Insanları, a community of Turkish musicians all over the world. We are delighted that Seçkin is one of our roster of specialist guides.
