ARCHAEOLOGICAL TOURS & GULET CRUISES
Below is our entire current schedule of 2008 and 2009 expert led archaeological gulet cruises and land based tours in Turkey. Although all our remaining 2008 tours are fully booked, we can still organise private charters. We are in the midst of planning our 2009 programme. Dates and tours are being added as they are decided. At this stage we are still flexible on 2009 dates so if you are interested in particular tours or would like to book some weeks for your own private group, please do get in touch as soon as possible. Many of our escorted tours book up a year in advance, so we recommend booking your places early!
TOUR GUIDES
We have some fabulous guides leading archaeological tours for us this year. Dr. Michael Metcalfe has received rapturous praise on gulet cruises he has led for us previously. Alongside him are another two star turns, Dr. Jennifer Tobin, Professor of Classics at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and Dr. Nigel Spivey, a Fellow of Emmanuel College, Cambridge University. WHY VISIT TURKEY
Turkey is a land steeped in history, with more and better preserved Greek and Roman archaeological sites than Greece and Italy combined. It’s also scenically beautiful, with a warm hospitable people, and justly celebrated cuisine - a country perfect for sea and land-based adventures into the past.
Its southwest coast offers the most spectacular cruising in the Mediterranean, full of craggy coves and sleepy fishing villages. Riddled with antiquities, it’s remained largely undeveloped, still lapped by the clear waters on which the giants of ancient history sailed: Achilles, Cleopatra, Julius Caesar, Mark Anthony…
As we set sail on Homer’s “wine dark sea”, or set off to explore the stunning interior, we enter a forgotten land and discover a lost world of temples, tombs, and theatres.
Book now with the Turkey travel specialist and experience the finest archaeology tours in the company of one of the best travel guides. To find out more about this wonderful country visit About Turkey

It was magical...your itinerary made me fall in love with Turkey, with the ancient world, with the land in and around the Mediterranean Sea, and for that I am eternally grateful.
